Janica Pilcher,
LPC-Associate

As a dedicated counselor at Neema Counseling, I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating difficult situations, past experiences, and challenging decisions. I provide support for clients dealing with stress and anxiety, depression, people-pleasing tendencies, grief, trauma and those who are struggling with faith. As a former School Counselor, I also have experience with school-related issues, career and college concerns, conflict resolution, identity, suicidal ideation and other issues. My passion for helping others was ignited after the tragic loss of one of my former students to suicide, motivating me to ensure others find hope and healing.

I utilize a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, person-centered approaches, and faith-based principles to meet the unique needs of my clients. Witnessing my clients’ healing through the therapeutic process brings me immense joy and fulfillment.

My educational background and training includes a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, and I hold certifications as a School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate supervised by Lauren Jones, LPC-Supervisor. I am currently pursuing certification as a Biblical Counselor.

When I am not with clients, I enjoy reading, walks with my dog, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
